Certificate Attestation / Apostille – Cuba
Cuba is a country in the northern Caribbean and a part of Latin America. This multi-ethnic country has a well-planned economy and it leads in the export of tobacco, coffee, sugar, and skilled workforce. Havana is the capital city of Cuba and the largest city of this country. Many people from Cuba move abroad for education, work, or business opportunities for which they need attestation of their public documents. The process of document legalization and authentication in this country involves several steps. And, this is where BVS Global offers its experience with this process to ensure that your documents are correctly attested within the shortest time possible.
The Process of Attestation in Cuba:
The Cuban Consulate requires an additional procedure of translation for the documents submitted for attestation. The process of authentication and legalization differs in the countries where Hague Convention is not in force. You need to follow several steps to get your documents properly attested in a timely manner. This process may include:
- Legal translation of the documents.
- Attestation from the Ministry of Education for educational certificates and notarization for personal and commercial documents.
- Attestation from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs or MOFA.
- Attestation from the Consulate or Embassy.
When looking for attestation, you should submit the required documents along with a duly signed power of attorney if required, a declaration form, and a passport copy to avoid any rejection by the authorities.
Why You Need It
When a document is attested, it eliminates all worries regarding the genuineness of the documentation and eases the process of your international endeavor. Such authentication is a legal necessity for all cross-border undertakings involving personal or career-related advancements:
- Embassies or consulates for visa or passport issuance
- Immigration office in case of visa application, emigration request or work status change etc.
- World education services (WES) and International qualifications assessment (IQAS) verification
- Equivalency requirements for Ministry of Education (MOE) or Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research (MOHESR)
