Certificate Attestation / Apostille – Mauritius

This beautiful island nation in the Indian Ocean is known for its rich ethnic diversity and natural wonders. The country has the highest human development index in Africa and its economy is based on the tourism. Port Louis is the capital of this country and its cultural, political, and economic epicenter as well. Whether you want to pursue higher studies out of Mauritius or looking for a career advancement, you need to obtain an Apostille for all the documents required to be submitted for immigration. We make this process simple with our expert and specialized services.

The Process of Apostille or Attestation in Mauritius:

Being a member of the Apostille Convention, Mauritius has specified a standard procedure to be followed for attestation of every foreign public document. An Apostille is a certificate issued after checking the authenticity of the documents. It validates the signature and/ or seal of the public officials. There are several legal formalities to be completed in this regard. You should submit the original copy of your personal, educational, or commercial documents as applicable. Additionally, you may be asked to complete some other paperwork by the Embassy officials. The process typically includes:

  • Legal translation of the documents if it is necessary.
  • Notarization or state certifications on the documents in Mauritius.
  • Attestation or Apostille from MOFA for legalization purposes in Mauritius.
  • Attestation from Embassy or Consulate in Mauritius.

Why You Need It

When a document is attested, it eliminates all worries regarding the genuineness of the documentation and eases the process of your international endeavor. Such authentication is a legal necessity for all cross-border undertakings involving personal or career-related advancements:

  • Embassies or consulates for visa or passport issuance
  • Immigration office in case of visa application, emigration request or work status change etc
  • World education services (WES) and International qualifications assessment (IQAS) verification
  • Equivalency requirements for Ministry of Education (MOE) or Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research (MOHESR)
