The Process

Documents such as personal, commercial or educational to be used in your Dubai attestation have to be certified by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA). To certify your personal documents in UAE, you’ll need to go to the legal translation, then to the notary and finally to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. To attest your educational documents, you’ll go to the Legal Translation, the Ministry of Education, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and to any Embassy in UAE. To attest you commercial document, you’ll go to the concerned governmental authority, then to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and finally to any Embassy. However, if you find that the embassy in the country that you’re in isn’t operational, you can go to the nearest UAE embassy with jurisdiction over that country for legalization.

The Office of Authentication needs all documents to be unaltered and in the country’s language. For eligibility, ensure your documents align with the language requirements, or otherwise notarized and a certified translation attached.
