Our Process and Requirements
At BVS Global, we follow a systematic procedure to make things convenient for the applicants to obtain a birth certificate apostille.
Step #1. Knowing your destination country
The first and foremost step that we do is check whether your destination country is a part of the Hague Convention list or not. If it is a Hague nation, you can either go in for state attestation or SDM (Sub-divisional Magistrate) attestation followed by the MEA apostille. However, if the country that you are planning to relocate to is not a Hague nation, the procedure involves Embassy attestation too after the MEA apostille is done.
Step #2. Choice between State Attestation or SDM Attestation
We give you two options to choose from – either state authentication or SDM authentication of your birth certificate before proceeding to the MEA apostille. You are free to make your own choice. State authorization is time consuming and quite a complex process. On an average, it takes about 3-4 weeks for the entire process to get completed. On the other hand, SDM attestation is quite easy and less time consuming too in comparison to state attestation. Generally, it takes around 4-7 days for SDM attestation. We recommend SDM attestation if the country that you are planning to relocate to is a Hague nation.
Step #3. Pricing
Depending on the nature of your requirement of birth certificate apostille, we communicate to you the charges. We have a fixed price policy in place. We also let you know the official fee you would be required to pay online for the MEA birth certificate apostille.
Step #4. Document collection and State/SDM attestation
Our executive comes to your doorstep to collect your original birth certificate, photocopy of your passbook and two passport size photographs. Once this is done, we verify your birth certificate by cross checking with the government department. After this, our team proceeds with either state or SDM attestation.
Step #5. MEA Apostille
Only after the authentication of your birth certificate is done by the state authority or SDM, we send it for MEA apostille. The MEA apostille of your birth certificate is only successfully completed if the document is attested properly by the state official.
Step #6. Update
Once your birth certificate has been sent to the MEA, we get a tracking number. Using this tracking number we check the status of your apostille and update you regularly about the same.
